Sara helps companies identify business opportunities at the BOP and develop innovative business models to pursue these opportunities. She has especially been working on the potential in the food sector and energy sector. Sara has worked in a number of developing countries in Africa and Asia and has a background in business as well as development. Prior to joining DIBD Sara has worked for a business network, a think tank and a large multi-national company – all three places focusing on the intersection between business and communities.

Andreas has an extensive understanding and insight into the dynamics of BoP markets and how companies can access these markets. Prior to joining DIBD, Andreas was a Research Assistant at UNEP Risø Centre for Sustainable Development, Energy and Climate, working specifically with project assistance and research. Andreas has also worked for the entrepreneurial and innovative start-up company MyC4, an online infrastructure providing capital for African businesses. The responsibilities and trips to Africa have given him a comprehensive insight into the micro-finance industry.

Frederik is primarily responsible for preparing BOP business plans and initiating and facilitating the contact between Danish companies and companies in emerging markets. He is also the co-founder of AfricaPace, a networking platform for people and companies who want to develop business projects in Africa. Prior to joining DIBD, Frederik worked for two years at a consultancy firm specialised in developing business and organizations in emerging markets. He is experienced in assisting companies under the Danish Development Agency’s private sector programmes. Frederik lived in Tanzania for 4 years.

The BOP Learning Lab also cooperates with the different industry units of Confederation of Danish Industry. This makes it possible to draw on vast in-house industry specific knowledge.
