Are you developed or are you developing?

The Danish BOP Learning Lab Denmark invites business and academia to attend an event that will give you an understanding of the dynamics of market creation on low- and middle-income markets and – if you are from a company – receive the “Market Creation Tool Box”, which can assist your company with a rapid assessment of how to create markets and new products.

Furthermore, you can get the latest insights on companies with successful market creation strategies from Erik Simanis, Cornell University and where the growth of tomorrow if achieved by Axel Olesen, former director of Institut for Fremtidsforskning.

Morning Session: Dynamics of Market Creation

The morning session focuses on how to unlock the potential in developing countries: “The problem arises when companies are trying to address current needs instead of creating a market for unmet needs. In developed countries and existing market, companies can create needs, but in these unchartered areas, where no markets exist, they must be created”.

The participants are offered multiple insights that can contribute to a greater understanding of market creation, which are:

  1. Keynote speak from Erik Simanis from Cornell University who will address the issue of market creation and provide the latest insights.
  2. Keynote speak from Axel Olesen who will present growth is envisioned to be achieved in the future
  3. Launch of the “Market Creation Tool Box” by Andreas Flensborg from DIBD, which is a presentation of the tool box combined with short practical workshop exercises

Afternoon Session: How to use the “Market Creation Tool Box”

The afternoon session is a combination of a workshop that will enable your company to estimate how the tool box can create value for existing or new projects, as well as an interesting presentation by Erik Simanis, where he will outline some of his newest ideas and insights on market creation and how companies can approach these markets with success.
